Milk Matters milkmattersbloomington.com Milk Matters is facilitated by International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) who provide free, evidence-based, clinincal breastfeeding support to all families in our community.

Women, Infants, & Children 812-353-3221 iuhealth.org WIC provides nutritional support for eligible mothers and their babies in Monroe and Green county. Women who qualify are covered through pregnancy and 1 year postpartum (6 months if not breastfeeding). Children remain eligible until age 5.

Lactation Services iuhealth.org At IU Health Riley Physicians, we understand the importance of supporting the breastfeeding mother and baby.  Currently, there are three IBCLCs (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants) on staff in our three Bloomington offices.  These services are available to all of our patients, including those from the Bedford and Martinsville offices.

Expressions staff will work with your insurance provider to determine your benefits for an insurance covered breast pump and file an insurance claim on your behalf.

Volunteers in Medicine 812-333-4001 vimmonroecounty.org VIM provides primary & preventative healthcare, treatment for acute and chronic conditions, and health education to the medically underserved in Monroe & Owen counties without cost. Eligibility criteria can be found on their website.

New Hope Family Shelter 812-334-9840 newhopefamilyshelter.org NHFS provides temporary shelter for homeless families in Monroe Co. while collaborating with other agencies to help families regain long-term housing.

SCCAP Head Start/Early Head Start 812-339-3447 insccap.org SCCAP Head Start/Early Head Start  provides service to 267 children ages three to five in 10 locations and 17 classrooms across the county. Head Start provides half-day, full-day, and extended day classes. We are open to all children and families regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, and disability.
